HOW IT WORKS

Our solar water heating appliance operates in a very simple manner. Solar energy is collected by the Solar Collectors and transferred to a storage tank. The energy is available to provide hot water for potable water use for washing, cooking and radiant & space heating.

Our solar water heating appliances have been developed around the low-flow, natural convection design concept. Advantages to this design include increased reliability and a lower price from reduced material costs and simplified design. The low-flow design also provides increased performance through enhanced energy capture and better stratification in the solar storage tank.

The solar water heating appliance consists of 1, 2, 3 or 4 solar collector panels (depending on the heating load), flexible fluid transfer lines, Energy Pack (heat transfer module), and controller. The Energy Pack is designed to fit on any new or existing electric water heater storage tank.

Patented Stagnation Protection eliminates overheating on solar collector panels and provides reliable year round operation.

Flexible fluid transfer lines connect the solar panels and Energy Pack, thus reducing the installation time.

The heat exchanger is a stainless steel, brazed plate design, manufactured to ISO 9000 standards, developed specifically for potable water systems. The ENERGY PACK mounts easily on any standard North American electric tank. Its patented Passive Anti-Fouling Protection ensures maintenance-free, reliable operation of the heat exchanger.

Food-grade glycol is used for high performance heat transfer and full season freeze protection.

Our solar collectors use a unique heat disbursing design to eliminate any concerns of overcharging during hot days.

Certain elements of the product are proprietary and patent processes have been initiated in the US, Canada and Internationally.
